Recently i bought a Pentax K-30 kit 18-135mm AL WR and i'm very proud of this camera. But  after i saw this i thought i  also wanna shoot too macro! I'm not profesionist but i like experiments and DSLR cameras are  fun. I wanna ask you what type  of bellows are you using for this cammera to make sure it will fit. .. any  pentax k  bellows are ok?

Hi,
I'm glad you love your K-30 as much as I do.
First, read your manual.
I was using my first DSLR for 3 years and when I was going to sell it, I started reading manual and learned many helpful things...but too late. It was Canon 400D.

On eBay you can get something like this:
www.ebay.com/itm/Macro-Extensi…

I have these and this is great. Just put your kit lens and play with it. (focus is manual)
Also,l find how to do-it-yourself macro flash...something like this:
www.pentaxforums.com/forums/at…

And shoot on iso200-400 on manual mode.

Thanks for answering! :D
Well. .. i have  macro extension  .. exactly the same  like on eBay! ... I buy them for my first SLR .. a Vivitar V2000 on film. it have the same mount like Pentax .. and i have experimented it on Pentax k-30 .. ohh ... i must learn some  things ... the macro extension looks dark .. and my first photo with them is not too clear i43.tinypic.com/207w1p2.jpg .. the problem may be ISO stuff/  i shook my hands( i don't have a tripod). I'm adapted with my film Vivitar camera......

But for this snowflake photo .. have you used macro extensions? . .these macro extensions can make a too macro shooting? ... first i thought you used the same www.premier-ink.co.uk/images/i…

It's interesting your do-it-yourself macro flash ... yet i don't have a big flash  .. just Pentax own flash.

I always want a Pentax  .. i saw some time ago some photos here on dA and  i didn't knew why the many photos i like are made by a Pentax  .. so I want to have one .. a good one!

I got myself that bellow extension tube but it's bullshit, since it gives me some glow in the center of every photo. So photos are almost useless.
I stick to regular metal tubes :)
And I shoot mostly at iso400 and I use flash (my K-30 flash, I also don't have external flash).
Try to shoot from a tripod, or you will have to be extra careful since the sharp area is so thin, when shooting bugs half of head is sharp and other half is not :D
p.s. lock your shutter leafs with some paper put near by that moving thing that sticks out of the back of lens ( www.ephotozine.com/articles/pe… ), it has to be fully opened or slightly closed

today I bought a tripod .. I bought it especially for night shooting and already I've experimented some shoots with shutter time 30' ... it's great! www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/i…

I tried to shoot with flash on macro but it looks like dark www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/i… ... iso was 800 and exposure time 1/180 and expousure bias 2.00 .. i don't remember exactly but i think it was on SCN mode on macro   .. so not manual

well, thanks for the advice, I'll try that stuff with some paper :D
